In its 33rd edition Filmfest Hamburg will show in its Televisionen section Woman in Blue starring Joachim Król and Jonas Nay. The film that Relevant Film produced for SWR was directed by Rainer Kaufmann and lensed by DoP Martin Farkas.
Late Shift by director Petra Volpe, starring Leonie Benesch as an overworked nurse, is Switzerland’s candidate for Best International Film Award at the 98th Acadamy Awards. Late Shift was lensed by DoP Judith Kaufmann who was also awarded the German Cinematography Award 2025 for her work on tze film.

Wagner, Leibniz – Chronicle of a Lost Painting (dir: Edgar Reitz), lensed by DoP Matthias Grunsky, Wonderfully Beautiful 2 (dir: Karoline Herfurth), production design by Susanne Hopf and Cicadas (dir: Ina Weisse) lensed by Judith Kaufmann. The festival opens on August 7, 2025 with Rainer Kaufmann‘s Petra Goes Swimming lensed by DoP Martin Farkas.
For lensing Petra Volpe’s hospital drama Late Shift DoP Judith Kaufmann has been nominated for the German Cinematography Award 2025.
DoP Judith Kaufmann was awarded the Bavarian Film Award 2024 for lensing The Glory of Life a period film produced by Tempest Film that she also directed together with Georg Maas.
Director Edgar Reitz’ latest feature film Leibniz – Chronical of a Lost Painting which was lensed by DoP Matthias Grunsky will be screened as a Berlinale Special during the 75th International Berlin Film Festival 2025. The period film was produced by if… Production with Edgar Reitz Filmproduktion.
