Natja Brunckhorst, born in Berlin, made a name for herself as lead actress of the feature film “Christiane F. – We Children from Bahnhof Zoo”.

In addition to her work as actress in the year 2000 she started a career as screenwriter. Her script for the feature film “Never Mind the Wall” was awarded the German Film Award 2002.

In 2020 she directed for the first time on the filming of her own script “Alles in bester Ordnung”.

Her feature film “Two to One” which she wrote and directed opend the 41st International Munich Film Festival in 2024 and was one of the most successful films of the year.

She lives and works in Hamburg.
