Clemens Messow started as DoP for international commercials and music videos. Later he focused on narrative features and tv-movies.
Until today Clemens has shot 18 episodes of the worldwide known TV-series “SCENE OF THE CRIME”.
He also worked with director Roland Suso Richter on the award-winning production “THE PUBLIC ENEMIES” for which he was nominated for Best Cinematography Award by the German Academy for Television.
Clemens also shot the first season of the historical drama “TANNBACH – LINE OF SEPARATION” directed by Alexander Dierbach, which won several international awards.
Clemens worked as Director of Photography for the feature film “GANGS” directed by Rainer Matsutani who was also showrunner and director of the english language sci-fi series “SPIDES”, for whose haunting imagery Clemens was responsible. He continued his collabotartion with Matsutani on horror mini-series „HAMELN – RETURN OF THE PIPER“(wt), currently in post-production.
His filmography contains two feature films, 62 tv movies, 69 episodes of tv series and over 200 commercials. Clemens is based in Munich and works worldwide.
